Ok, I've been looking online for things to do for free or inexpensive. I came across this thread and thought I would share.

Krispy Kreme- tours along with free donut! (limit of 20 per group)
Albertsons- always so good to do tours for the kiddies (recommended age is preschool)

Olympic Fountains at Gateway- Always a hit for the kids. I actually prepare them in their swimsuits and towels for this one.
Borders bookstore has Pajama movie night on Fridays at 7 PM in the children's section of the store. Bring your pillows, free snacks. Apparently this is at the Murray location (across from the Fashion Place mall) and at the Logan store too.
The Utah Symphony has their Lollipops Orchestra Series, but they don't have their schedule up yet. Check www.usoeducation.org for details. I'm not sure on the cost of these either, but I hear they are really fun.

Great SL Shorelands Bird Refuge (Layton)-FREE age-0-100This really is an impressive facility. My kids loved the boardwalks that were built right over the marsh and through the tall reeds.
